in case you ever need absolute lonelyness, this might be the perfect hotel.

i stumbled upon these russian pins in agafrog's shop.
there seems to be a lot of singing and music in Russia.
(The top two are still for sale at this moment.)

- pictures from the book 'meet me at the center of the earth' with costumes by the artist nick cave.

only now i discovered this beautiful little booklet by Lines&Shapes. I knew their booklet "sundays are for lovers", but this one i like even more.
i collect images i love. I noticed many others have
collections too, like Hermine and Mette and Mandy.
So maybe i can show you some of mine now and then.

i think i found this image at Mandy's. I love the dog in the top floor.

kitchen by Piet Zwart for Bruynzeel in the 1950's

a beautiful chair found by Hermine. I have one a little alike.

another beautiful image found by Mandy

from a danish fashion magazine

from desire to inspire

still from a children's movie. I love how the shop looks, especiallythe lights.

how strange of me to love the beauty in these weapons
made in prison...
"At its core here is a spoon, stolen from the staff dining room
at Rahway, where, as in many federal penitentiaries, inmates
were restricted to using plastic flatware. Stamped "State of NJ,"
the spoon likely to have been sharpened on the cement floor
or wall of a cell. The bowl of the spoon was filled with wax and
then wrapped with upholstery thread (taken from the furniture
shop, where it was used to re-stitch chair cushions) thereby
forming a generously-scaled handle."
found through design observer.

i had a day off. at first i thought i could still do some work,
but the better idea was to visit Jan Van Riet's exhibition
and make applepie.

they look like huge plums to me... i love the imperfect shape.
